Gesteinslabor holds now two Stanford certificates in geomechanics

Certified experts in (unconventional) reservoir geomechanics

The course "Unconventional Reservoir Geomechanics" covers the key topics related to the successful exploration of and production from shale gas and tight oil reservoirs: it deals with laboratory studies on shale, covers stress field interpretation and introduces to the problem of induced seismicty. The class is based on the new text book by Mark Zoback and Arjun Kohli of the same title. The class is the perfect continuation of its precursor "Reservoir geomechanics", which is concerned with rock physics and geomecanics of HC reservoirs in general. Gesteinslabor achieved a certificate for its succesfull participation in this Mark zoback class already in 2014.
